YONEMITSU Ikuo is Senior Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthodontic Science at Science Tokyo.
After graduating (DDS) from the Faculty of Dentistry at TMDU in 2002, he undertook advanced clinical training in the Department of Orthodontic Science and received his PhD in 2006.
He was Guest Researcher at University of Geneva, Switzerland (2018-2019).
He undertakes clinical research on patients with respiratory difficulties, how to improve the mechanics of orthodontic treatment using improved super-elastic Nickel-Titanium wire (ISW), which was invented in his department, and how digital dentistry may improve the accuracy of orthognathic treatment.
