MIZUTANI Koji

MIZUTANI Koji is Junior Associate Professor in the Department of Periodontology at Science Tokyo.

After graduating (DDS) from the Faculty of Dentistry at TMDU in 2002, he undertook advanced clinical training in the Department of Periodontology and received his PhD from TMDU in 2006. He was Research Fellow at Joslin Diabetes Center, Harvard Medical School, USA (2010-2012). His clinical practice focuses on a minimally invasive approach using Er:YAG laser and microsurgery for periodontal tissue regeneration to manage patients with advanced periodontitis. He is also conducting research into the relationship between periodontitis and diabetes.
